This policy explains how www.kompasslimited.com uses cookies and similar technologies, meaning small pieces of information stored in your browser, and how you can control them. It supplements our privacy notice.
In short: this site sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. Its page statistics come from Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It uses browser storage for two purposes, to remember your cookie choices and, if you allow it, to remember what you enter in our free tools and whether you have subscribed to our email updates.

All of these are stored in your browser's local or session storage rather than as traditional cookies. They are never read by any other website.
Categories
Essential. Needed for the site to work and to honour your choices. These cannot be switched off, but they contain no personal data beyond what you choose to send us.
Functional. Remember your entries in the free tools between visits. If you decline this category, the tools still work, but your entries are not kept once you leave the page, and you may be asked for your details again the next time you open a tool.
Analytics. Our page statistics are collected by Vercel Web Analytics, the analytics service of our hosting provider. It records the page viewed, the referring site, the country, and the browser and device type. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not build a profile of you: the only visitor identifier is a hash that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. Because nothing is stored on your device, it runs without a choice on your part. The Analytics setting in the cookie notice governs any future analytics tool that would store an identifier in your browser. None is in use today, and we will update this policy before adding one.
Third parties
Vercel Web Analytics is described under Analytics above. The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. Loading a page sends a request for the font files to Google, which receives your IP address, but Google does not set cookies through this service. Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard server logs as described in the privacy notice and sets no cookies on our pages.
Pages on this site may link to other websites, including regulators, standard-setting bodies and our training partner. Those sites have their own cookie policies, which apply once you leave this site.
Your choices
When you first visit, a notice lets you accept all categories, keep only the essential ones, or choose category by category. You can change your mind at any time by choosing Cookie settings, which also appears in the footer of every page. Your choice is kept for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
You can also clear or block storage through your browser. Most browsers let you delete site data for a single site or for all sites, and let you block storage altogether. If you block all storage for this site, the free tools will not be able to keep your work and the cookie notice will appear on each visit.
